One of the best parts of going on vacation is the hotel. I spend hours and hours researching hotels, looking at You Tube videos, following hotels that I want to stay at etc. Why? Because while I want my kids to have the best time, I also want to make sure that may husband and I feel like we have gone on a great vacation. We love hotels that have great design, kid friendly, adult friendly and a place we truly look forward to as part of our vacation experience vs ‘a place to sleep’.

Hotels in our opinion can make or break the experience. You can’t predict whether when you are on vacation, so it’s nice to be somewhere amazing. Below are some our our absolute favorites. Please comment below on what yours are.

FINOLHU MALDIVES

Who said the Maldives was just for adults?? We have been 2 x and LOVED both hotels we stayed at. The Finolhu Maldives is by far my absolute favorite hotel. It is STUNNING and the kids had a fabulous time. The kids club was not just a kids club, they offered cooking classes, snorkeling, kayaking and more. My kids are not kids club people but absolutely loved it. We also went during the holiday season and they put on an excellent experience during the holidays. The food was also A+ and ever dining experience was a walkable experience.

ONE AND ONLY CAPETOWN

A Total Wow! This hotel is located in the best place – right next to the V&A Waterfront for easy entertainment/accessibility. When we checked into our room, they had cookies for decorating for the kids, they provided kids size robes and amenities – my kids felt so special. In the evenings they would make amazing mocktails for the kids and would have fantastic live music in the bar/lounge. The views for the rooms were really next level.

FOUR SEASONS ORLANDO

Disney is already special, but the Four Seasons takes it to a whole other level of special. From the pools to the service, you are may never want to go to the parks! Another huge feature that I am not sure everyone knows about is the steak house at the Four Seasons offers epic views of the fireworks and in fact you can see the fireworks from Epcot and Magic Kingdom from here.

HOLMES HOTEL LONDON

This is a city hotel in a fabulous area. The rooms are so spacious (rare for London) shower is fantastic and when you walk in, the kids were greeted to Sherlock Holmes books and bears. This is a GREAT hotel to explore the sites from and the high street offers a ton of shops and restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel was ok, but the evening cocktails were great!

1 HOTEL MIAMI BEACH

The 1 Hotel is located in Mid Beach. We opted for a junior suite which was spacious enough for our family of four. Each suite came with a gorgeous kitchen that you could comfortably make snacks in or give the kids cereal etc. It also had a laundry machine which we appreciated.

The pools are beautiful and we appreciated the service at the pools. When you need a drink or snack, there is no need to flag someone done, each bed is given a button so you just need to press the button when you need something.

The location on the beach is very nice and it’s close to many restaurants. There is a kids club, but it is small.

For parents the gym is fantastic. As for the spa, there are so many good spas in Miami I would opt to pick a different spa vs the hotel.
